There are 25 rooms reserved for arrival Tuesday, June 1, check out
June 3, at a rate of $105 per room, per night, single and double
occupancy, plus 13% tax and $1.00 City Lodging Tax. When calling
to make your reservations, guests must mention they are with the
VCJD Conference Group Block in order to get the above mentioned
rate. Reservations must be made by Monday, May 3, 2010.
After that time, any unreserved rooms in the group block will be
released for general sale. Any individual cancellations will need
to be made by Saturday, May 29, or the first night’s room amount
will be charged. For anyone who is interested, a group dinner is
planned for Wednesday night, June 2 at Laverne’s, 7:00 p.m. Closer
to the conference date, more detail will be sent out regarding, menu
and cost.

VADJJ Director Barry Green, Award Winner Tim Smith, VJJA President, Beth Mohler Stinnett On November 6, 2008, Harrisonburg resident, Tim Smith, was honored for his contributions to the juvenile justice field. While attending the 32nd Fall Juvenile Justice Training Institute, Smith was presented the Virginia Juvenile Justice Association’s 2008 Meritorious Award in the Area of Residential Services.
